AiM PDM08 Harness

All harnesses for AiM products ship free of charge via UPS ground, with additional insurance to cover the total cost of a lost or damaged harness, at no additional cost to you. We support our customers, and will always do what is needed to make any issue right.

These are made-to-order unterminated harnesses for the AiM PDM08 (Power Distribution Module). Our process allows you to select the length and wire type to fit your budget and needs.

Base harnesses are 10 feet long and made with OEM-grade automotive wire (copper, 125°C rated insulation), with 15 foot length optional, and even longer harnesses available per custom order. Email us if you need a custom length.

AiM recommends M22759/16 military-grade wire, which is tinned copper, with insulation rated for 150°C, and it is more abrasion resistant for professional motorsport applications, which is available as a wire option, but is an increased cost. No matter which wire is used, always avoid routing near turbos, exhaust components or other major heat sources without proper shielding.

These harnesses are meant to last the life of your vehicle.

Please note that custom harnesses are displayed at $1,000, but that is just a placeholder required by our e-commerce system. Custom order pricing is determined over email, and then our website price is adjusted to allow you to place your custom order at the agreed upon price, which will be lower than $1,000. This is easier for our customers than direct invoicing.

We use original parts produced by the connector manufacturer defined by AiM, always purchased from authorized distributors to ensure the best product quality and performance. All terminal interfaces to the PDM are gold-plated for superior connection quality and reliability.

All inputs and 15-amp output drivers are wired with 16 gauge circuits. The 20-amp and 25-amp output drivers use two connector cavities each, and are wired with short 16 gauge sections to two splices, and from those splices we use 12 gauge to run the length of the harness. If you prefer another configuration you can request this via email before placing your order. Please wait for our reply with estimated lead time before placing custom orders.

There are two speed signal inputs into the PDM08 (pins 28 and 29). Best practice is to have the signal circuits and sensor power/ground shielded, and to connect those shields to the ground circuits for the PDM. When ordering your harness, you must select how you want your speed signal circuits configured. You can choose which power source to use for your speed sensors, or not to power the sensors from the PDM08 at all, and these choices will determine which shielded cable you get on your harness. If you choose not to shield anything, your speed inputs will be wired up with standard wire rather than a cable with shielding inside.

We keep an inventory of materials ready to produce one piece of any harness for emergency turnaround needs of our customers, with our regular order lead times being under two weeks. If you have an emergency situation, contact us via email before placing your order and we will work with you the best we can at no additional cost, excluding expedited shipping if that's what you request.

You need to select if you want the speed input shields to be grounded to the chassis ground wires. If you select this we will splice them to the ground circuits. If you do not select this, your shielded cables for speed inputs will not be grounded and you may want to manage that during your install, or leave them ungrounded. NEVER ground a shielded cable at both ends (sensor and PDM ends).

We CANNOT help you with technical questions related to the aftermarket PDM or harness installation. We are happy to support any issues with our product, but we do not have resources at AiM to support your vehicle build.

If you receive a harness and determine that there is an issue with the manufacturing of the assembly or damage from shipping, we will repair the product and ship it back to you. If you cut circuits during your installation before requesting a repair, those circuits will not be replaced during the repair of the defect. If you need circuits replaced, please reach out to us directly to work together, and your needs will be met at the lowest cost possible.
